Concentrating on corals and related groups (from Palaeozoic to Recent), the periodical intends to overcome the existing specialization in palaeontology and to stimulate research into these climate-sensitive organisms between faunistic explosions and extinctions.

Original works of high quality which show a progressive approach and advance coral research are published. Special attention is given to taxonomy and resulting conclusions on palaeogeography, palaeoecology, palaeoclimatology and stratigraphy.

The Coral Research Bulletin is also intended as a forum for authors from East European countries and the C.I.S. states. It publishes monographic papers, but issues containing a collection of smaller articles are also conceivable. Papers are published in English, French and German (preferably in English).

To be published at irregular intervals.
